The Daily Workshop
Report

LEXINGTON, KY. (Jan. 8, 1998) -- I've made a little progress on the new files for the 1998 Workshop, so let's take a tour. (These files are in place on the AOL site, but may take another day or two to appear on the website. Please bear with us.)
The first file I've added is the Current Rankings. Each week (on Friday afternoon usually), I'll update this file to include the latest rankings for our eight Workshop screens. Look here first for the latest rankings from now on.
Also, I've added a file for the Workshop Screen 1998 Returns. This file will also be updated once a week (on Fridays). It will include a comparison of the eight screens as well as the results for each stock in the eight screens.
The third new file is a simple summary of the eight screens we're tracking in 1998. If you ever need a reminder of what the difference is, say, between Relative Strength (26 Week) and Investing for Growth (Relative Strength), head to this file for a quick refresher course.
You might also notice on the AOL site that I've moved the weekly Database file up to the top level of the Workshop area. This way you'll be able to see all of the newest files in one place.
Further developments planned include moving the month-by-month Unemotional Growth History file to the front page, adding a Historical Comparison file where we can list annual returns side-by-side for each strategy we've screened, and ultimately packing away all of the 1997 screen and data files into a single archive -- out of our way, but not lost.
I hope the revisions will make the 1998 Workshop a little more user-friendly and streamlined. As are most areas in our forum, the Workshop is a work in progress. Fool onward and upward (unless you're short, of course)!
