Dozens Recap

Omaha, NE (Jan. 29, 1999) -- Tonight's recap is going to be a short one. I very quickly want to go over the numbers for the week and tell you all what the new additions to the Dozens portfolios will be. After looking at this week's Workshop Returns, I was so excited to see many of the screens doing well. Heck, 3 of the screens are producing double-digit returns! Best of all, most of the screens are topping the performance of the Standard & Poor's 500 Index, which is up a small but respectable 1.04%

It wasn't until I looked at the return for the Nasdaq Composite market that I realized I might want to curb my enthusiasm. The Nasdaq is up 12.98%, besting every screen but the Spark 5. The Spark 5 is up 17.12% as of Wednesday's close and probably even higher after the past few days. So, before you go whooping it up about the sensational returns, look around at the basic market averages and compare your returns against those.
