With trailing sales of $142 million, the company may not be in the same league as the "Big Six," but it is beginning to benefit from the brand awareness that comes with increases in size. Technology Solutions has a clearly articulated strategy of concentrating on high growth areas in IT. The company built its name in the high-end call center market and over the last two years has ramped up its enterprise-wide application implementation, utilizing leading packages from PeopleSoft, Baan & SAP. It also has a number of industry-focused operations that hope to exploit the dramatic changes in and increasing reliance upon IT technology for productivity gains that some sectors of the economy have come to depend upon. These include: financial services, managed care and telecommunications. In addition, the company develops specialized, custom applications in the areas of supply chain management, e-commerce and sales process optimization. For early fiscal year 199,7 Technology Solutions' revenue mix was approximately 45% custom application development, 30% enterprise packages and 25% call center operations.

Technology Solutions announced fiscal 1997 third quarter revenues of $42.3 million for the period ended Feb. 28, 1997, up 66% from $25.5 million in the third quarter of fiscal 1996. Its year-to-date revenues for fiscal 1997 were $114.0 million, up 64% from $69.5 million a year ago.
