Non-Store Retail

Spiegel, Inc.

The Company

Spiegel, Inc. <% if gsSubBrand = "aolsnapshot" then Response.Write("(Nasdaq: SPGLA)") else Response.Write("(Nasdaq: SPGLA)") end if %> is a leading international specialty retailer marketing fashionable apparel and home furnishings to customers through catalogs and more than 450 specialty retail stores. In addition, the company adds euphemistically, other distribution channels include "innovative electronic platforms." We all know what that means. The heart and soul of Spiegel's business is its catalog, but its fortunes have definitely been boosted by the aggressive store rollout at the company's Eddie Bauer operations, which have chalked up excellent same-store sales gains.
