Charity Drive Update
11/25/98

'Twas the day before Thanksgiving, when all through the site,
Fools were pausing to give, simply doing what's right.
They pulled out their wallets to contribute a few bucks,
Online, or by fax, mail, or phone, even stock if they had luck.

In less than a week, 126 Fools had given $14,699.
This is before tallying "Here's My Two Cents" dollars.
Counting TMF Web message board posts --
So far 8,986 -- we get another $179.72, no boast.

The Fool got the ball rolling with five grand.
Now it's time for all Fools to give hunger a hand.
Donations go to Share Our Strength (SOS)
And in turn food programs all across the land.

SOS has a long track record
Fighting to end hunger, in case you haven't heard.
So make an investment in giving today,
No matter how much, what do you say?

I will personally donate $0.02 for each board that posts more than the Recipes board. That includes the individual stock boards and all the investment club boards -- I think it comes to something around $200 if all the other boards qualify, though I only estimated the total number of boards.

I know $200 isn't really that much, but it's a lot for me right now. However, as long as you guys keep this up, I'll try to come up with a challenge every year. If I keep on the path toward stinking rich like I expect to over the next 40 to 60 years of my life (thanks to the Fool), I'll keep upping the stakes accordingly.

I'm really glad you chose a food charity -- feeding the hungry is first on my list of worthy causes.
