Intel has been one of the most innovative and profitable companies in the 20th century. Its management, sales, and marketing teams -- not to mention its research and development -- have made it the King of Microprocessors ever since Intel invented the darn thing in 1971.

I like Intel. I really do. I think it's a great company. But, it is in the middle of a painful business model transition and it's just not communicating its plans for the future clearly.
