In brief, AMD has spent the past year firing on all cylinders, while Intel has stumbled badly. This has happened in the context of the greatest computer component shortage and highest demand in the history of the computer industry.

The Bear Argument...
When I think of AMD, I can't help but think of the old Washington Generals, the lame basketball team the Harlem Globetrotters "played" and beat to a pulp every "game." The Globetrotters (Intel) needed the Generals (AMD) in order to play the game (keep antitrust fears in check).
