Duel Flashback:
News Corp.

Six months ago, in a tribute to the News Corp. <% if gsSubBrand = "aolsnapshot" then Response.Write("(NYSE: NWS)") else Response.Write("(NYSE: NWS)") end if %> broadcast favorite X-Files, we professed that the Duel was out there. With Yi-Hsin Chang (TMF Puck) camping with the bulls and Chris Rugaber (TMF RFK) out with the bears, it was just a matter of time before one would emerge victorious.

Since then, the company has successfully spun off its Fox Entertainment <% if gsSubBrand = "aolsnapshot" then Response.Write("(NYSE: FOX)") else Response.Write("(NYSE: FOX)") end if %> subsidiary, taken its once obscure network to the top in prized demographics groups, and now it's set to release The Phantom Menace. The force definitely has been with News Corp. -- and with our Foolish voters who overwhelmingly sided with Yi-Hsin. The shares have risen 40% since the Duel ran last October.

Victory? Yi-Hsin Chang and our Voting Fools. Congrats!
