Duel Flashback:
H&R Block

Six months ago you may have been rushing to get your 1997 tax return filed. We got cute, and timely, and presented our Duel on H&R Block <% if gsSubBrand = "aolsnapshot" then Response.Write("(NYSE: HRB)") else Response.Write("(NYSE: HRB)") end if %>, the country's largest tax preparer.

Louis Corrigan (TMF Seymor) saw promise. Bill Barker (TMF Max), our new bear on the Block, saw promissory notes. In the end, you voted overwhelmingly in favor of Bill's bearish take. That was 62% of our Foolish Voters.

In the six months since the Duel, gravity sided with the consensus here as shares of H&R Block have fallen 13.3%.

Victory? Bill Barker and the Voting Fools! Congrats!
