<FOOLISH FOUR PORTFOLIO>
Investing and Imbibing
And lots of fresh air
by Ann Coleman (TMFAnnC)
Alexandria, VA (June 4, 1999) -- I gotta tell you, folks, nothing smells as good as Virginia in June. You're driving down the road and wham, a honeysuckle breeze flows into the car, and you start thinking hey, I've been in the city waaaay too much.
So slow down this weekend, folks, bask in the warm but not too hot sun, and if you live anywhere near the middle of the Eastern Seaboard, consider driving out to The Plains, Virginia ,where the Vintage Virginia Wine Festival is being held Saturday and Sunday.
You can sample 250 or so different kinds of locally produced wine, listen to music, check out the restaurant booths and the crafts. You can even stock up on a bit of Foolishness -- Chris ("Free Wine!") Rugaber and I will be speaking or slurring about Foolishness in general and the Foolish Four specifically. Chris is holding forth on Becoming Foolish on Saturday at 1:00 and 3:00, and I will be discussing moving from mutual funds to individual stocks (guess which ones?) on Sunday at the same times.
Click the link above for directions, descriptions, costs, and a list of participating wineries.
Those of you who will be staying home this weekend can play with Strategy Stocks Live. We've released it from its beta test, and it is taking its rightful place as our official Today's Stock List page. If you didn't read the original announcement a month ago, please check it out now: Instant Foolish Four. Just because you CAN get a new Foolish Four stock list every five minutes doesn't mean you SHOULD.
If you find yourself a bit confused by the way the stock list changes from day to day or sometimes minute to minute, you might want to also read Moving Targets.
Have a wonderful, Foolish weekend!
Fool on and prosper!
