The Daily IFG Report FOOL GLOBAL WIRE by Robert Sheard (MF DowMan) ALEXANDRIA, Virginia (December 13) -- Technology stocks took it on the chin today, trying to match the Dow's losses from earlier in the week. Fortunately for IFG (where good fortune has been scarce this year), the model's two telecommunications equipment companies were able to keep their heads above water today, keeping the session from being even uglier than it might have been. Looking ahead, one of the things I'm hoping to work on in coming weeks is to continue our efforts at making more and more of the raw research data available so when something pops into your head at 3:00 a.m. to go test, you'll have the resources available to test it quickly and easily. I know how frustrating it can be to have an idea burning a hole in your brain and no way to find out if it works or not. And waiting for me to get a new test run isn't always the most efficient plan (just ask my wife). So as we head into the new year, ideas like some form of Foolish Workshop and a centralized location for all of us to tinker with ideas and experiment with new screens and combinations is high on my priority list. Bear with us as we start to put some of these ideas into physical locations on the forum. One of the most appropriate metaphors I've heard about the way we work here at the Fool comes from MF Czar. His picture of our forum is a relatively large airplane that we're learning to fly while we're airborne. But it actually gets more complicated than that because AOL and Web technology advances at such a rapid pace, sometimes new ways of presenting information and data crop up almost as fast as we can create the content ideas to take advantage of them. So, this day and a half I've spent at Fool HQ has been helpful in catching me up on some of the options we'll have available to us to make my material even more useful to you in the future. So, look for my Monday report to be coming to you from the Bluegrass again and I'll do my best to get the weekend statistical updates posted as quickly as possible after returning to Lexington.
