(October 14): It was a record breaking day as the major indices all topped their previous highs, including the Dow even closing above 6,000 for the first time. Yet little company-specific news crossed the wires for our Investing For Growth holdings. Also part of the process is the introduction of a new juice dispensing system and the re-entry of Minute Maid into South Africa after a 10-year absence. Despite the lack of news, there was plenty to cheer about for our holdings. For those of you anxiously awaiting my back-testing of the Unemotional Growth model, those results are in. Today's Fribble summarizes the approach again and lays out the details of the model results from August of 1986 through the beginning of this month. In short, the 5-stock model grew at a compound annual rate of 40.6% for the last ten years and two months while the 10-stock model grew at 31.7%.
