(FOOL GLOBAL WIRE) ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 30 -- Hiya, Fools, welcome to the penultimate MF Czar IFG recap. First off, let me apologize for the late filing of this report -- I'm sure that there are many Fools out there that will be *very* happy to have DowMan back at his post. The IFG model portfolio was up 0.71% today, beating the indices by a nose. The big news item today was Computer Associates' announcement that they would split 3-for-2. Since I'm already running late, I'm going to cheat and excerpt straight from Business Wire: ISLANDIA, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 30, 1996--Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE Symbol:CA) today announced that its Board of Directors declared a regular semi-annual cash dividend of $.07 per share. The dividend will be paid on July 9, 1996 to stockholders of record on June 10, 1996. This cash dividend will be paid based on share amounts prior to today's announced stock split. Additionally, the Board declared a three-for-two stock split, in the form of a stock dividend, of its outstanding common stock. The record date will be June 19, 1996 and the payment date will be July 15, 1996. There are currently approximately 242,600,000 shares of CA common stock outstanding, and this number will increase to approximately 363,900,000 shares by reason of the stock split. The company will pay cash in lieu of fractional shares. The Board indicated that it anticipates the future annual cash dividend rate adjusted for the stock split will be $.10 per annum, a 7% increase. ~~~~~~~~ Well, that's all folks, have a Foolish night!
