For those of you tracking the weekly database, there were a number of stocks replaced in this week's grouping. Six stocks were dropped from our database and seven new ones added.

Seven for six? Well, yes, actually. One of the stocks being dropped by Value Line is a Canadian issue we didn't include, but its replacement still goes into our field, so seven new ones. If you've followed the weekly changes for some time, you know that this is a relatively high number for the average weekly turnover. During earnings season, however, this is not unusual. Earnings growth is major factor in their ranking system, so as earnings season unfolds, their rankings take the new reports into account and the rankings are more volatile than at other times.

Here are the six stocks we're dropping:
