The Profit Prophets

by ([email protected])

My husband and I were more than a little surprised to be singled out at the meeting of new first grade parents by the headmaster of the school.

However, the story he told brought a smile to our faces and showed us that most of the Foolish ideas we support and embrace are very acutely absorbed by the young "investor" in the household.

The story he told went like this: At the early morning assembly before classes, the headmaster was delivering his daily message from the Bible. The day's lesson was on the Prophets. When he asked the assembled students, "Who can tell me what a Prophet is?" our young son promptly shot his hand up into the air and said, "You bet! A profit is a lot of money!"
