A Gooroo
Predicts

It's always a hoot at this time of year to look at articles written by the Wise at the start of last year and compare them to articles coming out now. They're inevitably the same "helpful" prognostications:
There will be much confusion over this and that and the future is clouded by thus and so forth.
There is no way of knowing the impact from Asia on our financial markets.
Of course the Fed. may raise interest rates, unless it lowers them, or opts to do nothing.
Companies will be under pressure, unless they make more money and then they won't be under pressure.
The market will make new highs, unless it doesn't.
Consumers will not continue to buy new computers, unless I am wrong, which may be the case.
Bonds are a good investment, unless interests rates rise. On this subject see my prediction concerning interest rates stated above.
REITS are an excellent investment unless vacancy rates increase, in which case they won't be so good.
In short, I have no idea what is really going to happen, but my Wall Street firm pays me a couple of million bucks a year to write this slop, and I'm not going to complain. I just hope some poor dope still reads this stuff. It really is a good job and I would miss it a lot. This I am sure of.
