The Wolf & the Lamb
from E-Sop's Frables
One very warm day a Wolf and a Lamb came to a chatroom stream at the same time for a drink.
The chatroom stream they were in ran downhill and the Wolf was at the upper end.
The Wolf, having gotten up on the wrong side of his den that morning, was looking for trouble. He shouted (in all capital letters, of course) down at the Lamb, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY MAKING MY DRINKING WATER MUDDY?"
The scared Lamb bleated that he couldn't be making the Wolf's water muddy because he was downstream from him.
"Oh, so you want to argue," said the Wolf. "Well, even so, you are a nuisance and I've heard that you went around posting nasty things about me behind my back about half a year ago."
"That's silly," baaed the Lamb. "I wasn't even born then." "So--" woofed the Wolf. "Then it must have been your father, which amounts to the same thing."
And very angrily he rushed down the stream, tore the Lamb apart and ate him, not even waiting for mint sauce.
The Point --- Don't waste your breath arguing with a bully. Save it for the running you may have to do.
