Somebody closed the floodgates and yesterday's deluge became today's dribble. There's no major economic news to report on today.

I'd like, however, to mention a correction to something in yesterday's article. Yesterday I wrote:

"For the nearly five-year period between January of 1990 and November of 1995, real average weekly wages fell 1.6%."

This should have been "...six-year period...".
