When Mrs. Merlin came home from the mall Saturday she told me that things looked kinda slow. So, since the economic news beat is quiet today, I volunteered to go back there with her and seen what the pair of us could do to prop up sagging retail sales. We'll find out if it worked tomorrow when I'll be reporting on the weekly retail sales surveys from Mitsubishi Bank/Shroder Wertheim and Johnson Redbook.
