Duel Flashback
Fruit of the Loom

Just how far can an elastic waistband stretch? Apparently, not wide enough. Fruit of the Loom <% if gsSubBrand = "aolsnapshot" then Response.Write("(NYSE: FTL)") else Response.Write("(NYSE: FTL)") end if %> is in trouble. Six months ago we took a closer look at the well-known undergarment maker.

Rick Aristotle Munarriz (TMF Edible) figured the Fruit was ripe for a comeback. Paul Larson (TMF Parlay) saw rotten Fruit. Our Foolish Voters sided with Rick's bullish ways. Unfortunately, things have only gotten worse for the company -- now trading at just a third of where it was when we peeled the company back in September. Fruit of the Doomed proved to be an appropriate title for the feature.

Victory? Paul. Congrats!
