Duel Flashback:
American Express
Last year, we proved once and for all that Dueling Fools will take American Express <% if gsSubBrand = "aolsnapshot" then Response.Write("(NYSE: AXP)") else Response.Write("(NYSE: AXP)") end if %>. In a heated bout over the financial services giant, much like this week's Duel, two sides clashed over the business of money.
Paul Larson (TMF Parlay) argued the bullish case, ultimately correctly as the stock has soared 50% since the Duel first ran. Bill Barker (TMF Max), our bear who had been victorious in his first three matches finally tasted defeat. Our Voting Fools sided with our clairvoyant bull.
The pretty amazing thing about this voting process, which we haven't really touched on, is that you, our Voting Fools, have nailed two out of every three bouts. Is that your phone ringing? I think Wall Street is hiring.
Victory? Paul Larson and our Voting Fools. Congrats!
