Edison's subsidiary, Edison Mission Energy, is a developer of high-profile power plants around the world, including the United Kingdom, Australia, Indonesia, and Italy. Other businesses include Edison Capital, a provider of capital and financial services for energy and infrastructure projects; Mission Land, a business that manages and sells existing real estate projects; Edison Source, providing energy and environmental services to businesses; Edison EV, supporting the emerging electric vehicle market; and Edison Select, which provides consumer products and services. Latest Financials Earnings for the second quarter of 1997 were $0.34 per share, down one cent per share from the same quarter last year. On an operating basis, which excludes one-time adjustments, 1997 second quarter earnings were $0.34 cents per share, a decrease of five cents per share from the same quarter last year.
