Multimedia The Company
Intergraph is primarily a supplier of workstations but touts itself as a
vendor of software, hardware and related services for technical ,creative
and information technology professionals. INGR recently entered the merchant
graphics board market and currently has an OEM agreement with Compaq to supply
3D boards. The company also has a board in the works that will ship for consumer
applications that is based on a chip provided by Rendition. Revenues for
the 1996 fiscal year remained flat at $1.1 billion. Net losses rose 52% to
$69.1 million. Increased hardware sales in the overall revenue mix continues
to put a strain on gross margins , coupled with higher SG&A expense resulted
in poor comparisons.
