Cognex's products are used in factory automation operations that require extremely reliable, high-speed vision systems. Cognex products have been used for part location, inspection, gauging, measurement and character recognition. OEM sales include products for tracking semiconductor wafers through manufacturing processes and finding the placement of surface mount devices onto circuit boards. Various end user applications include the inspection of bottles and cans, light bulbs, and mechanical components in mobile phones, textiles, metal foil, and paper.
