The Daily Dow LEXINGTON, KY. (November 8): A late-afternoon rally for the Dow Industrials, setting another record high, wasn't enough to salvage a victory for the Foolish Four today. Chevron was the sole winner of note in our plus column today, closing out what would normally be considered a pretty good week. But given that our choice group lagged the market this week, it's a bit of a hollow accomplishment. The only news for our holdings today was an accusation by Eastman Kodak in a federal lawsuit that two of its long-time employees conspired to steal trade secrets worth millions in order to sell them to the competition. Harold Worden is accused of setting up a consulting firm that profited from his inside knowledge of Kodak's advanced methods used in making film. Worden worked for Kodak for 28 years and retired in 1992. According to the lawsuit, Worden also obtained confidential documents through his successor at Kodak, Kurt Strobl, and by recruiting 63 former colleagues, many of them recent retirees. Strobl, who worked for Kodak for 22 years, was fired Wednesday. The lawsuit also alleges that Worden recruited employees at Xerox, Polaroid and DuPont in an effort to obtain and sell confidential information from those companies. The news probably won't have much of an impact on the stock, but it's not the kind of James Bond-like activity one wants in the corporate "family." Have a great weekend, Fools! Today's Dow Numbers
