LEXINGTON, KY. (August 7): It wasn't a good day for America Online, that's
for sure, but it wasn't a great day for the Foolish Four either.
Dragged down by Chevron (which is double-weighted in our January 1996 portfolio,
remember) and 3M, the portfolio gave up half a percentage point while the
DJIA gained 0.40%. Not the kind of performance we like to see, but heck,
it's just one day. And after the day AOL had (down at least 17 hours when
I gave up trying last night), it doesn't seem all that bad.
