LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 10): Ladies and gentleman, the pitcher for the Wall Street Brokers has been throwing untouchable heat all day. He's had our Motley Fool sluggers stumped for the first eight innings.

But what's that look on his face? Is he getting a bit tired? And right as our Foolish Four are coming to bat one more time?

Chevron steps up and here's the pitch. He drags a beautiful bunt down the first-baseline and the Wall Street pitcher can't pick it up in time. Safe at first. Hey, it's not much, but it's a start.

Next up is Kodak, whose swing has been picture perfect all day, but he's roped the ball at someone each time up. Zero for three on the day. Uh oh, the pitch is a hanging curve - back, back, back, back, back - outta here!! A two-run blast.

The Foolish Bunch now trails by a run, bottom of the ninth. Up next is DuPont, worrying about a five-game slump. But the pitcher's looking worried too and his fast ball's not nearly as active as it was early in the game.

Here's the high hard one, and DuPont rips it into the left-field corner, a hard double off the wall.

Stepping up to the plate now is the Foolish Four enigma, 3M. This batter's got all the skills, the great swing, the good eye, the power to take it out of the park anywhere, and yet, all season long, he's been in a funk. Can he come through in the clutch? If not, he's likely to find a pink Post-It note on his locker!

Oh, sweet baby, it's a dinger!!! Deep to center-field, into the upper deck, and clear through a luxury box window and into a bowl of potato chips - a monster shot. And the Foolish Four come through with four runs in the bottom of the ninth. Fools win! Fools win! Fools win!

Ahem. Could you tell there wasn't much news today? After being down most of the day, the Dow rallied in the last hour and the Foolish Four put in a market-beating day. Pardon the hoopla; must be leftover All-Star game material Chris Berman couldn't get into his highlights.
